The Finance and Accounts Department is vital in handling the finances of the Institute.
Main Responsibilities of the Accounts Department
To ensure the effective and efficient management of institute's revenue expenditure, assets, liabilities and other resources in accordance with the Financial Administration ACT 2003.
To ensure that procurement for the institute is done in accordance with the Public Procurement ACT 2003
To ensure that the institute comply with the provisions under the Internal Revenue ACT 2001
In order to fulfil the above responsibilities, the following major activities are carried out in the Division.
Major Activities
Preparation of Annual Budget for the Institute.
Cash receipts and banking transactions
Payroll processing and the preparation of related reports
Procurement and store supplies for all the division in the Institute.
Recording and keeping of financial transactions of the Institute.
Keeping of Assets Register of the Institute
Provision of annual financial statements.
Provision of monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual reports to the government agencies and the ministries.
Oversee both internal and external auditing of our books, review and analyze reports and give recommendations when appropriate.
